This job description outlines the role of a Quality Control Analyst at Baxter, focusing on conducting laboratory analyses according to established procedures and regulatory standards. Here's a detailed summary:
Key Responsibilities:
Perform Analytical Testing:
Conduct tests in accordance with Baxter Specifications, Test Methods, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Pharmacopoeia guidelines (USP, EP, JP).
Use at least 3 of the following instrumental techniques: HPLC, Atomic Absorption, Flame Photometry, ICP-MS, and Polarimetry.
Solution Preparation:
Standardize and prepare solutions for testing.
Report Generation:
Submit accurate and timely analysis reports, ensuring neat and precise results.
Sample Analysis:
Analyze complaint and stability samples and report quality issues promptly.
Compliance and Safety:
Follow cGMP, cGLP, and cGDP regulations.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards (OSHA, EPA, FDA).
Housekeeping and Maintenance:
Maintain laboratory cleanliness and follow Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
Required Skills and Experience:
2.Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry (required).
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in analytical chemistry.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in operating laboratory testing equipment.
Experience with lab data systems like Empower, Mass Hunter, LIMS, and Electronic Lab Notebooks.
Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Analytical and Mathematical Skills:
Ability to perform mathematical calculations, interpret units of measurement, and use electronic equipment.

Must be able to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
